Alan Turing broke the Enigma code, helped end a war, and laid the foundation for the computers and AI we rely on today. His reward was prosecution, forced chemical castration, and a death that came far too soon.
This piece is my tribute — and my argument that his story deserves to be told, fully and without flinching. A three-dimensional mosaic portrait, built from thousands of tiny coded images printed across layered acrylic panels, Turing's face emerges from the very symbols that defined his life's work.
The piece rests on a shelf of reclaimed walnut, where a padlock holds a QR code that unlocks a virtual experience — Alan's own voice sharing his journey, his brilliance, and the persecution he endured.
