The Zed Table explores the rhythmic possibilities of walnut through stacked-lamination. Eschewing stains, the piece relies entirely on the natural variance of grain direction to create its striking "tiger-stripe" aesthetic. Each of the 31 layers was hand-fitted to create the seamless, arcing cantilever—a shape that challenges the traditional verticality of furniture. With a top that mirrors the diagonal geometry of the base through meticulous inlay work, the table is as much a sculptural object as it is a functional surface.
